Notice of Hearing 2027 Budget

56 Washginto Ste 401, Valparaiso, IN.

Notice is hereby given to taxpayers of TWIN CREEKS CONSERVANCY DISTRICT, PORTER COUNTY, Indiana that the proper officers of TWIN CREEKS CONSERVANCY DISTRICT will conduct a public hearing on the year 2027 budget. Following this meeting, any ten or more taxpayers may object to a budget, tax rate, or tax levy by filing an objection petition with the proper officers of TWIN CREEKS CONSERVANCY DISTRICT not more than seven days after the hearing. The objection petition must identify the provisions of the budget, tax rate, or tax levy to which taxpayers object. If a petition is filed, TWIN CREEKS CONSERVANCY DISTRICT shall adopt with the budget a finding concerning the objections in the petition and testimony presented. Following the aforementioned hearing, the proper officers of TWIN CREEKS CONSERVANCY DISTRICT will meet to adopt the following budget.

Portage Township to Host National Night Out – A Celebration of Community and Safety

Portage Township Trustee Brendan Clancy, in partnership with the Porter County Sheriff’s Department, is proud to present National Night Out – a nationwide initiative that brings communities together to strengthen police-community relationships and promote safer neighborhoods.

The event will take place on Tuesday, August 5th, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Haven Hollow Park, 330 W 700 N, Valparaiso, IN 46385.

National Night Out is a longstanding tradition focused on enhancing connections between residents and law enforcement while celebrating the spirit of unity and neighborhood camaraderie. Attendees can expect a fun and engaging evening filled with activities, resources, and opportunities to meet local officers, firefighters, and community leaders.

This event is made possible thanks to the generous support of community sponsors, including Meals on Wheels Northwest Indiana, Sylvan Learning, Twin Creeks Conservancy District, Center Bank, the Salvation Army, the Boys & Girls Club of Northwest Indiana, and many more who are committed to creating a safer, stronger Portage Township.
